Chris has been a trade mark specialist with Baldwins since 2000 and was appointed as a team leader in 2012.  His career began as a Trade Mark Examiner at IPONZ, following which he then spent eight years in the United Kingdom employed as an inhouse trade mark advisor for a large multi-national and later, with a London patent and trade mark attorney firm.

Expertise

Chris works primarily in the areas of trade marks but also advises on passing off and Fair Trading Act matters.  He specialises in providing advice on trade mark availability (searches), filing and prosecution, transaction and disputes involving trade marks.
