Helen first joined Baldwins as a patent specialist in December 2000, and after spending time working in the patent profession overseas she returned to Baldwins in March 2008. Helen works primarily in the area of patents, but also advises on copyright and design protection. She specialises in drafting and prosecution of patent specifications, providing patent validity and infringement advice and providing strategic management of intellectual property portfolios for both the local and overseas markets.
Helen is currently pursuing studies towards a law degree.
Helen's technical area of expertise is chemistry. Her PhD research focused on the design and synthesis of potential hypoxia-selective anti-cancer agents. Helen also spent time as a postdoctoral research fellow in New Zealand and the US.
