New Zealand is likely to accede to the Madrid Protocol in late 2012. New Zealand business will be able to benefit from Madrid because key trading partners are already members including Australia, China, USA, Japan, Switzerland, Korea, Singapore, Benelux, the Russian Federation and members of the European Union such as Germany, Spain, Ireland, France and the United Kingdom.
