Jonathan joined Baldwins in 2008 as a Patent Executive in the Auckland office. Prior to joining Baldwins, he worked as a Trainee Patent Attorney at a London private practice. He also has experience working for a Management Consultancy company in the UK on a variety of projects for multinational technology companies.

Expertise

Jonathan's technical expertise covers the fields of physics and mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering, particularly telecommunications. His expertise also includes semiconductor technologies and software engineering.
Working primarily in the field of patents, Jonathan's work includes drafting patent specfications, prosecuting applications and advising during opposition proceedings. His intellectual property experience before working in New Zealand included prosecuting patent applications before the UK and European patent offices and translating French patent specifications.
