Stephanie joined Baldwins as a Patent Executive in August 2011. Her role involves the drafting, filing and prosecution of patent specifications, for both the local and overseas markets. Stephanie is currently pursuing studies towards qualification as a New Zealand Patent Attorney.
Before joining Baldwins, Stephanie worked in the quality control and manufacture of pharmaceutical products. More recently, her industrial experience has focused on organic chemistry, in particular, the synthesis of deuterated and carbon-13 labelled internal reference standards of actives and their metabolites.
Stephanie’s PhD research focused primarily on the synthesis and application of palladium (II) bicyclic bisphosphinite catalysts and their application in the cycloisomerisation of 1,6-dienes, and studies towards the chiral resolution of the bicyclic backbone through bioorganic transformations.
