We welcome opportunities to support innovation and participate in building local business communities. We support a range of organisations, across a breadth of industry sectors through partnerships, sponsorships, donations and pro bono work. Recently, this has included the following organisations:
AmCham NZ promotes two-way trade and investment relationships primarily between New Zealand and the United States. Baldwins is a long-time member and sponsor of AmCham NZ, in particular supporting the organisation’s annual AmCham DHL Express Success & Innovation Awards programme.
Baldwins sponsors the IP paper at AUT’s Law School where our experts also act as guest lecturers. We also participate in AUT’s Shadow a Leader programme providing an opportunity for students to shadow our General Manager for a day.
We provide pro bono trade mark advice to The Breast Cancer Aotearoa Coalition, a charity run by breast cancer survivors and an umbrella organisation representing 32 breast cancer-related groups.
Brightsparks nurtures students aged 9 – 17 who will become our nation’s future engineers, electricians and programmers. Baldwins is proud to support the Brightsparks annual Awards showcase and offers IP mentoring to students involved with the programme.
Baldwins is a proud partner of ExportNZ, primarily through sponsorship of the annual Auckland & Waikato Export Awards programme, as well as providing pro bono services and intellectual property support to the organisation and its members.
The Kiwi Innovation Network (KiwiNet) is New Zealand’s network of public research organisations, working together to transform scientific discoveries into marketable products and services. Baldwins is a major partner of KiwiNet, and provides ongoing IP support to the network’s member organisations.
Mount Albert Grammar School Robotics Team
Baldwins is proud to support the MAGS Robotics team enabling them to design and build a robot to compete on the world stage at the International VEX Robotics competition. In 2015 the competition was held in Louisville, Kentucky with the team placing 17th in their division of 90 of the best teams around the world.
NZBIO is the peak industry association representing bio-based organisations in New Zealand. We are proud to support NZBIO through our experts’ contribution to IP workshops, as well as sponsorship of their annual Excellence Awards programme and regional technical symposiums.
The Special Children's Christmas Party, in association with the Cancer Society provides an unforgettable experience for disabled and disadvantaged children in our community. Baldwins is proud to make a donation to support this very worthy initiative each year.
We provide pro bono trade mark advice in New Zealand to Team Rubicon, an organisation that unites military veterans with first responders to provide relief to those affected by disasters.
Founded in 1883, Auckland is New Zealand’s largest university with 41,000 students. Baldwins sponsor and provide guest lecturers for the Law & IT paper of the Bachelor of Law programme, run by the Faculty of Law, as well as the Law & IP paper component of the university’s Masters of BioScience Enterprise programme.
Chiasma is New Zealand's premier student-led non-profit organisation that fosters connections between students, science and business. Baldwins participates in Chiasma’s annual mentorship programme and regularly hosts events for the organisation.
Our experts act as guest lectures for a Biotechnology paper in Victoria University’s Bachelor of Science programme.
