Thursday 24th November 2016
In November 2016, Baldwins was acknowledged as a top Intellectual Property firm in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific 2017 rankings. The Legal 500 rankings assess the capabilities of law firms in over 100 jurisdictions around the world. Baldwins is proud to be recognised amongst a high calibre of other world-class firms and their talented practitioners in the Asia-Pacific region.
The Legal 500 undertakes in-depth research through both submissions from law firms as well as feedback from clients, and states “Baldwins provides excellent service and builds good knowledge of clients’ business’”. Recent advice we provided for our client, Bluebird Foods, is mentioned in support of our Legal 500 ranking. In this case, we successfully represented Bluebird (link to case study) in nine revocation actions for non-use of trade marks.
Baldwins would like to congratulate Wes Jones and Sue Ironside who have been named as ‘Leading Individuals’ reflecting the expertise and strong track record of these two individuals in their dedication to Baldwins’ clients. Three further Baldwins partners have been named as ‘Recommended Individuals’, and we congratulate Tim Jackson, Angela Searle and Penny Catley on this achievement. The five recognised individuals’ advice is praised by the Legal 500 as “prompt and easy to understand”, a goal Baldwins strives to achieve and is proud to be recognised for.
Our 2017 ranking builds upon Baldwins’ rankings in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific in previous years. Our recognition as a top firm with expert IP practitioners is going from strength-to-strength, and we are thrilled to do so alongside fellow noteworthy industry professionals.
