Friday 24th February 2017

Baldwins Intellectual Property has been named as a recommended firm in the World Trademark Review 1000 2017 – The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals. In addition, partners Sue Ironside, Penny Catley and Angela Searle have received individual recognition in this year's edition.

Published in January each year, the WTR 1000 guide serves as the definitive tool for locating the best trade mark practitioners around the world.

Baldwins is delighted to have received a silver ranking in the New Zealand ‘firms’ category. “Few firms can match the longevity and IP know-how of New Zealand institution, Baldwins”. One client says:

“I appreciate that it doesn’t have pre-packaged, one-size-fits-all-service plans. It is forward looking and can translate your company vision and strategy into a plan that fits your needs and budget.”

Partner Sue Ironside was ranked highly again in this year’s edition receiving an individual gold ranking in the prosecution and strategy category and praise for her “experience in cross-border strategy”.

Wellington-based partner, Penny Catley, received an individual silver ranking in the 2017 edition, and is described as “clairvoyant commercial counsel” sought out by conglomerates and small-medium enterprises alike.

Partner, Angela Searle, makes her WTR1000 debut in 2017. She “holds down the fort in the Christchurch office and is an integral adviser to rights holders on the South Island”.

Baldwins is delighted to once again receive recognition in the WTR 1000 publication and to have the firm’s trademark representatives ranked among the world’s best for 2017.
