Baldwins Law Limited
Brigette assists clients in the enforcement of intellectual property rights and dispute resolution.
Brigette specialises in all areas of intellectual property dispute resolution and advice. This includes trade mark oppositions and infringement matters, passing off and Fair Trading Act matters, and border protection, as well as domain name, design and copyright disputes. She also advises clients on commercial issues related to intellectual property, including contractual matters.
Before joining Baldwins in 2012, Brigette practised general litigation including employment law for five years at a major New Zealand commercial law firm. She has represented clients at mediation, at the Intellectual Property Office of New Zealand (IPONZ), and throughout the courts, including at the Court of Appeal.
Brigette loves the range of clients she comes into contact with every day in the intellectual property field - from hugely talented and inspiring authors of copyright works to large companies that have, through hard work and great ideas, grown to be world leaders in their field.
